Korn bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu won't coming with the band when they return to the road this year.

In a statement posted to his Facebook, Fieldy writes that he's taking some time away from the band to deal with ongoing "personal issues" that "have caused me to fall back on some of my bad habits and has caused some tension with the people around me."

"It's been suggested to me to take some time off to heal," Fieldy writes. "I'm going to respect what was asked of me and take that time. Unfortunately you will not see me on stage with my band."

He continues, "I will be working towards getting the bad habits out of my system. In the meantime I will be staying creative to keep my mind and soul in a good place. I'm thankful for all of your support, patience and understanding as we all have something that we deal with."

The post ends with a message to Fieldy's Korn band mates, reading, "I love you and I don't want to bring any tension or bad vibes to the circle."

Korn's first show back is July 16 at the Upheaval Festival in Michigan. In August, the band launches a tour with Staind.

Fieldy previously dropped off a Korn tour of South America in 2017 due to "unforeseen circumstances." He was memorably replaced by Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo's then-12-year-old son Tye.
