Chesapeake police said that Andre Bing purchased the gun he used in the shooting hours before he opened fire, The Associated Press reported.

The weapon was a legally-purchased 9 mm handgun, police said.

Officials added that he had no criminal history, CNN reported.

They also said he had a note that listed grievances he had against co-workers on his phone. He had it in a file named “Death Note,” which said that the co-workers had harassed and mocked him, police said. Officials shared the note on the city’s official Twitter account.

The message ended with “My God forgive me for what I’m going to do...”, which can be read here.

Officials did not say when the note was written by Bing, who had worked for Walmart since 2010 and had been named a team lead, The Washington Post reported.

The shooting left six people and the gunman dead — Randy Blevins, 70; Lorenzo Gamble, 43; Tyneka Johnson, 22; Brian Pendleton, 39; Kellie Pyle, 52, and Fernando Chavez-Barron, 16, who was identified by police on Friday.

Several people were injured, but at least two are still hospitalized, CNN reported.

Police said Bing shot and killed himself.

One person was listed in critical condition as of Thursday, while a second was in “fair/improving condition.” A third person was released from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, CNN reported.
