It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s super coins.

The comic book superheroes will be honored when the U.S. Mint releases a three-medal set featuring DC Comics Justice League do-gooders Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

The set combines designs introduced earlier in 2025 as part of the Mint’s Comic Art Coin and Medal program, CoinNews reported.

Each medal reprises artwork from the program’s earlier releases, featuring iconic designs of the three heroes, who have been immortalized in comics, television and film.

Superman is shown in flight, symbolizing hope and strength, while Batman is shown in motion against the skyline of Gotham City. The Caped Crusader represents justice and determination.

Wonder Woman is depicted with a shield and the Lasso of Truth. That reflects peace and equality.

The medals do not include monetary inscriptions but have the same designs used for their gold coins and silver medals, CoinNews reported.

Pricing, along with any mintage or product limits, has yet to be announced. Currently, the U.S. Mint is limiting households to one set.

When will the medals be released? That is unknown. The Mint’s website simply notes that they are “Coming Soon.”

Future releases in the program will continue with Green Lantern, Robin and Supergirl this year, with Aquaman, Batgirl and Green Lantern scheduled for 2027, CoinNews reported.
