Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson may have given his mother many homes over the years but he recently bought her a new one, one she told him she hopes to be her last.
Johnson shared the moment his 73-year-old mother Ata opened the door to her new home, People magazine reported.
“Love you mom and surprise,” Johnson wrote.
He said it took his team eight weeks to get it ready.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have brought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, ‘After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. Thats my dream.’ Mom, there’s no greater feeling than to make you happy ~ welcome home,” Johnson wrote.
The design team made sure to feature Ata’s collection of vintage ukuleles and pictures of ancestors that Ata had not seen since she grew up in Samoa, E! News reported.
Johnson also showed off her new “Smackdown Room” where she displays memorabilia from his football, wrestling and acting careers.
Johnson bought his mom a home back in 2018 and gave it to her as a present, E! News reported.
He reminisced about how they “Lived like gypsies on the road from one state to another,” in the card that he gave her, telling her about that home four years ago.
