Television that Spurs fans shouldn't miss, tonight

NBA TV is putting on a Spurs-themed party tonight. This is appointment-television, people.
After a long offseason made bearable only by the memories of the Spurs championship over the Heat, the season is upon us. Tomorrow evening brings the banner ceremony and the guys will be handed their rings (which I'll enjoy watching even though Kawhi Leonard only cares about the title).
But first, NBA TV has decided to make this a great day to be a Spurs fan with an entire night dedicated to our San Antonio Spurs. They're calling it Champions Day and there are three different programs, taking up the entirety of prime time.
The jewel of the evening comes in the second hour of programming. At 8 p.m. Central, (STTOTTM) Champions Revealed: 2014 San Antonio Spurs will air. It's possibly the closest fans will ever come to having a sit-down conversation with Pop and the Big Three.
And that's because someone somewhere seems to have been able to get Pop and the Big Three to agree to sit down and have a conversation with cameras actually present. Here are the promotional videos that have me so excited about tonight, even though the game isn't until tomorrow.

In this post about the specials, Fran Blinebury quotes this excerpt:

Popovich on the beginning of the Duncan Era in San Antonio: "(Tim Duncan) came to training camp and David Robinson watched him play and about the second practice the whole offense changed. David was now in the dunker spot and Timmy was on the block catching the ball and David never even said a word ... You know this new kid comes in and all of a sudden David's not getting all of his touches ... I never said, 'David this is the way it's going to be.' We just did what we did and he knew it right off the bat and he loved it. Timmy just grew and grew from there, unbelievable."
Before Champions Revealed, is 2014 San Antonio Spurs: Go Spurs Go (7 p.m. Central) which NBA TV describes as "a look back at last year's Spurs championship season ... with exclusive interviews, highlights and behind-the-scenes footage." Finally, there's Open Court: NBA Champions Edition (9 p.m. Central) which won't be Spurs-centric, but I'm still setting my DVR to record it just in case it's half as good as I expect Champions Revealed to be.

So, while we have to wait another 31 or so hours to see the Spurs play again, there's just 8 hours and change until this little bit of excellence. Hope you're all able to enjoy it.
