With less than a month to go before the release of their debut album, Device (fronted by Disturbed‘s David Draiman) have announced a headlining tour with support from Gemini Syndrome and Nonpoint. They will also be playing several festivals.

We recently caught up with Draiman, and asked him about the tour schedule. “Starting from the beginning of April from those first few festivals, [Device has] got two months of dates. We’re going to be doing some one-off dates during the festival run with Nonpoint and Gemini Syndrome and I’m looking forward to that. I’m just looking forward to being the new guy on the block again and starting from scratch again.”

The touring lineup of Device will include Draiman, guitarist Virus (Dope) and drummer Will Hunt (Evanescence). Draiman collaborated with Geno Lenardo (ex-Filter) on their self-titled debut, which drops April 9. It also features guest artists, including Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, Deep Purple singer-bassist Glenn Hughes, Avenged Sevenfold vocalist M. Shadows, System of a Down singer Serj Tankian, Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale.

When asked about tour preparations with Virus and Hunt, Dramain said, “I’m looking forward to actually rehearsing in a couple weeks and really getting things tight and getting our s— together.”

We also inquired about the setlist, and if Device will be playing any Disturbed songs. “No, no Disturbed songs,” Draiman revealed. “There may be a cover or two but there won’t be any Disturbed songs.”
