Comedic heavy metal act Steel Panther are about to bang their way across the globe once again with their upcoming ‘Spread the Disease’ (S.T.D.) 2013 tour. The men of Steel Panther are set to infect thousands of fans during the string of dates.
It’s always great news when Steel Panther announce that they’ll be hitting the road, after all, the band were voted Best Live Act by fans during the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards, beating out monster acts such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Tool and many more. Steel Panther will be on tour for over a month, stopping by the Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion and Rock on the Range festivals, along with Ozzfest’s first foray into Japan on May 12.

The S.T.D. tour starts on April 13 in Orlando, Fla., for WJRR’s Earthday Birthday, which is just fine with Steel Panther bassist Lexxi Foxx. “What better way to kick off the S.T.D. tour than with a concert to celebrate the Earth’s birthday?!” says the devilishly handsome, yet dimwitted four-stringer.

In other good news, the band is banging out their third studio album, which they’re recording with Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour, Meatloaf).
