Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell recently stated that he felt that the band would take a little time between albums, then jump back in to record their next album, but guitarist Dave Navarro may have some other things to juggle as well as that next Jane’s release.
According to Grunge Report, a fan called into Navarro’s Dark Matter online radio show last week to quiz the musician about if he would ever consider another solo record. Navarro stated, “I actually have two records that I plan on making simultaneously, completely different. They’re just two different musical styles. But I don’t have any, like, release date or any information like that.”

Navarro’s last solo set, 2001′s ‘Trust No One,’ was greatly underappreciated and featured the melodic lead single ‘Rexall’ and the darker, mid-tempo and somewhat industrial follow-up ‘Hungry.’

The guitarist did state as a follow-up to the solo record question that he’s been working with Todd Newman on a documentary about the death of his mother, and there’s also a documentary in the works on the Jane’s Addiction tour that needs finishing, so both of those would pre-date any work on his two proposed solo records.

Jane’s Addiction are currently planning to wrap their ‘Theater of the Escapists’ tour with an Oct. 27 Halloween weekend show at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. Farrell is encouraging fans to come out to the show dressed for the holiday. Tickets go on sale for the show this Friday (Sept. 21) via Live Nation at 10AM PT.
