Trent Reznor to Guest on New Queens Of The Stone Age Album

Trent Reznor to Guest on New Queens Of The Stone Age AlbumTaking part in Reddit’s “Ask Me Anything” feature today was Nine Inch Nails / How To Destroy Angels mastermind Trent Reznor. While he mostly focused on answering questions by users regarding HTDA and past projects, one surprising answer got us particularly excited:

“Q: Aside from destroy angel’s new EP, what’s next for you?

A: A number of things. Tweaking some things for the HTDA full LP (coming in Spring), helping Josh out on a new QOTSA track, working with Roy, starting rehearsals for two bands.”

So, there you have it. Reznor and Homme join forces again.

“Wait, again?” you ask? Yes; Reznor guested on the title track to the band’s last album, Era Vulgaris, though it wasn’t included on the official release. Do your homework, kids. Listen to the track below, and read our interview with Josh Homme wherein he discusses working on the track with Trent, why it’s not included on the album, and breaks down some details on the song Homme sang on for NIN’s Year Zero which was never released.

Also, Reznor’s comment about rehearsals for two bands might be more than enough fodder to comments that Nine Inch Nails are set to make a comeback next year… possibly at Coachella?

Also, in case you didn’t hear, Queens have a familiar face returning to the drum kit for their almost-completed new album: Dave Grohl.
