Nikki Sixx Reignites Motley Crue and Godsmack Feud

Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx has reignited his war of words with Godsmack frontman Sully Erna.

In his latest retaliation after Erna wrote the song Crying Like A Bitch about Sixx, the glam icon says he’d like the singer to join Crue on stage at their upcoming Las Vegas residency.

Sixx says: “We’re looking for an angry midget for our Vegas shows and I was thinking of using the singer from Godsmack.”

The pair fell out while Erna’s outfit was a support act on the 2009 Crue Fest 2 tour. Erna is believed to have written the song after a particular bad experience with Sixx backstage.

Asked directly if Crying Like A Bitch was about the bassist, the singer recently said: “As honest as I’d like to be, the other side of me doesn’t want to give anybody the extra exposure, even if it’s negative, so I’m just going to plead the fifth.”

Last year Sixx said: “Even his manager told me he’s an asshole. Maybe the problem is just in his head – I got no problem with him.”

Crue will play the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Vegas between February 3 and 19. Singer Vince Neil has admitted he’s thinking of leaving the band after the run of shows, explaining: “There are so many opportunities in front of me that I’m really excited about. I’m just not sure I can give them the time and effort I’ll need, and continue with the band. It might be the time to just bow out.”
