Last week VOLBEAT released North America summer 2011 tour dates that will bring the Danish metal-rock band from coast to coast, and through Canada. Their headlining tour starts July 24 in Toronto, Ontario, and concludes on September 4 in Anaheim, California. The tour will be hitting Chicago's House of Blues on August 17.

Volbeat is Michael Poulsen (Vocals / Guitar), Anders Kjølholm (Bass), Jon Larsen (Drums) and Thomas Bredahl (Guitar). The quartet will be touring in support of their fourth studio album, Beyond Hell / Above Heaven which was released in the US on September 13, 2010. Currently, the album has sold in excess of 300,000 copies worldwide. Overseas, the album debuted at number one on the sales charts in Denmark, Finland and Sweden, and Top 10 in a half dozen additional countries.

The lead single from Beyond Hell / Above Heaven, "Fallen" peaked on Billboards US mainstream chart at #18, and their current single is, "Heaven Nor Hell." Their song "Fallen" is the bands first single to ever reach commercial radio, and success in the states.

Direct support for Volbeat's summer 2011 headlining tour will be Florida rock band Cold. They will be performing on all dates, except for the shows in Canada. Cold is set to realese their album Superfiction on July 19 via Eleven Seven Music. “Wicked World,” the first radio single from the upcoming album, is currently climbing up the Active Rock radio chart.

This will mark Volbeat's second concert at Chicago's House of Blues in 2011, their last being a sold out performance on March 27. Tickets for all appearances will go on-sale June 10th and 11th. The majority of these performances will be promoted by Live Nation.
