The Red Hot Chili Peppers look set to sue Diana Vickersbecause her new track resembles one of their biggest hits.
Parts of The X Factorstar's song My Wicked Heart resemble the chorus from the Chili Pepper's 1992 smash Under The Bridge.
Diana even admitted the similarity in a recent interview and revealed she had listened to the Chili Peppers' hit during the recording session: "That happened without us even knowing!" she explained. "We had the song and it didn't have the 'My Wicked Heart' bit in it and then we put the vocal in and we were like, 'Why does it sound so familiar?'"
"Then we realised it was because we were listening to Under The Bridge the day before," she continued. "We were saying, 'Should we change it? Should we not? What should we do?' Sod it, no, we're just gonna keep it, it works, it's the way it is." Now The Sun has reported that Anthony Kiedis and co. are considering legal action because Vickers failed to request permission to sample the song.-mtv.co.uk
