A Perfect Circle has announced a five-city, multi-night tour for this fall.

Shows in Phoenix (Marquee Theatre), Los Angeles (Avalon), Seattle (Showbox at The Market) and San Francisco (The Fillmore) will be three-night stops with each night featuring one of A PERFECT CIRCLE's three albums in its entirety ("Mer de Noms", "Thirteenth Step" and "eMOTIVe"). Las Vegas (The Pearl) will be a two-night outing ("Mer de Noms" and "Thirteenth Step").

A PERFECT CIRCLE singer Maynard James Keenan and guitarist Billy Howerdel have both told Rolling Stone in a new interview that they're working on new songs together in addition to preparing to tour again. Keenan said that the writing "never really stopped," adding, "We always had music bouncing back and forth, but (this) just seemed like the right time" to get back together. Howerdel said, "The clock is ticking and we have intentions of playing a new song or two at these shows."

Keenan said about the decision to play small venues, "There's no way we're going to sell out arenas. We haven't been around for six years . . . These shows are going to be very small intimate theater gigs, basically just the five of us trying to connect with each other."

Both men expect A PERFECT CIRCLE to go out on a traditional tour after this short run, but nothing has been officially confirmed.

Howerdel also plans to work on a new record from his other band, ASHES DIVIDE, while Keenan is working on his winery, a PUSCIFER DVD and, eventually, a new TOOL album.
