Jared Leto believes his latest video should be shown on television, but apparently the images in the video were deemed a little too sensitive for the public eye.

According to TorontoSun.com, Leto, the frontman of the rock band 30 Seconds to Mars, expressed that society, namely television censorship officials, promote a "double standard over sexual images shown on screen.

After a promotional video for Leto and his band's latest single, "Hurricane," was debuted on MTV, it was banned for being too explicit, featuring footages of bondage shots and violent fight scenes.
Leto tells Entertainment Weekly:

We always knew there would be some images that would have a tough time getting through. But we didn't expect this kind of pushback that we're getting now. I had always planned on having an explicit version and then a version that was not so explicit. The version that we were trying to get on broadcast is not the explicit version, and that's still having a really difficult time.

I'm not interested in provocation for provocation's sake. I just think it's interesting that when you turn on the news or whatever else catches your interest, how much violence and negativity is available out there. As soon as it comes time for sexuality, it's a big shock that people are sexual beings. It's an interesting double standard to me.
