Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy will be pulling double duties on their upcoming tour with Avenged Sevenfold. Portnoy who has helped Avenged Sevenfold finish up their forthcoming will also sit behind the drum kit on the tour. Portnoy, stepping in for late drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan was Sullivan's all time favorite drummer. The Dream Theater drummer says he wants fans to know he's not trying to step in The Rev's shoes, but instead lacing them up. Portnoy also says that though he has helped A7X on their new album and touring, he is still a full time member to Dream Theater and will leave Avenged duties to record a new Dream Theater album.
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS
Stone Temple Pilots have added a couple of more tracks from their upcoming self-titled album to Amazon.com's streaming service. The songs Bagman and Hickory Dichotomyare available for streaming along with Between The Lines. The album "Stone Temple Pilots" will be available in stores and for purchase on May 25th.
