2011 CONCERTS

Concert promoters say the sluggish economy during the 2010 concert season really made shows tough. With usual concert goers staying home because of ballooning ticket prices, many shows were forced to cancel. Promoters now have a new game plan for 2011 - lower ticket prices! Instead of high ticket prices followed by huge discounts to fill seats days before the show, promoters plan on setting ticket prices low from the get go and will try to make up revenue buy selling more merchandise and concessions at the show.  

NIRVANA

After 16 years, members of Nirvana reunited for a one off at a secret Foo Fighters gig last week. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl took his seat behind the drum kit as he did in the Nirvana days and was joined by Bassist Krist Novoselic and guitarist Pat Smear. The reformed group played the song "Marigold" from the "Heart-Shaped Box" EP. It was the first time the group played together since singer Kurt Cobain's 1994 death.
