The Black Crowes will head out on the road in support of 2009's Before the Frost. . . Until the Freeze. The band will kick off the trek in New Orleans at the Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 23 before hitting 13 more stops on its way across the U.S. The tour will wrap up at Louisville, Kentucky's legendary Churchill Downs on July 25.

The Black Crowes are currently made up of brothers Rich Robinson (guitar) and Chris Robinson (vocals), along with longtime drummer Steve Gorman, bassist Sven Pipien, and newcomers Adam MacDougall and Luther Dickinson on keyboards and guitar, respectively.

The band recorded Before the Frost in front of an intimate audience over five nights at the Band drummer Levon Helm's Barn in Woodstock, New York. The album includes a special cover of Steven Stills' "So Many Times."

Before the Frost is the follow-up to the band's 2008 release, Warpaint, which was their first new album in seven years.
