SERJ TANKIAN

While on hiatus from System of a Down, frontman Serj Tankian is putting the finishing touches on the follow-up to his solo-debut, Elect The Dead. I had the opportunity to talk to Serj last month about the album:

Chris: "Music Without Borders" would that be the next album?

Serj:  We actually changed the name. That was our rough title...uh temporary title

           if you will. I'm calling it "Imperfect Harmonies".

Chris: Nice! Summer release are we talking?

Serj: Summer release...yeah we're shooting for August. It is a really adventurous

          sound man. It

          is electronic, orchestral, jazz, rock all on the same songs, all on the same

          record. If I took

         everything from "Elect The Dead" the record, if I took "Elect the dead:

          Orchestra",

         everything I've done with System, and "Serart" the world  record I did with

          Arto Tunçboyacıyan, and everything else I've learned, and put it all together 

          on one record it's

         going to be "Imperfect Harmonies"

"Imperfect Harmonies" is due in stores and download services in August.

STONE SOUR

Stone Sour is hard at work on the follow-up to 2006's Come What(ever) May. The band says this album will definitely not be Come What(ever) May II. It's different, more mature, and more diverse. Singer (also Slipknot singer) Corey Taylor says it's miles above everything they've done before.
