Former Guns N' Roses turn Velvet Revolver guitarist; Slash is releasing his solo debut album today. What better way to honor such an achievement then to have a day named after you. Slash will be honored by the city of Hollywood, CA by having August 26th become Slash Day in Hollyweird. Slash Day will also kick off the Sunset Strip Music Festival, which the axeman will be honored. Again Slash's solo-debut hits stores today and will feature guest vocals from Dave Grohl, Kid Rock, Ozzy Osbourne and more.
WHITE STRIPES
White Stripes frontman Jack White recently disclosed the neither English nor American record label wanted to release the 2003 hit Seven Nation Army as a single when it came out. According to White both labels wanted to release 'There's No Room For You Here" instead. White insisted on Seven Nation Army and it became the biggest hit off their 2003 "White Elephant" release.
