We here at 99.5 KISS are deeply saddened to report the death of James Owen Sullivan, better known as Avenged Sevenfold drummer The Rev. Sullivan passed away at his Huntington Beach, CA home Monday. According to initial reports, The Rev died of natural causes. A post on A7X's official website reads It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.Jimmy you are forever in our hearts.

SMASHING PUMPKINS

It seems Billy Corgan is writing more than songs these days. The Smashing Pumpkins frontman has plans to pen a "Spiritual Memoir". The story is about how a boy named William found God and vice versa. Corgan states, "I can honestly say that my intention is to write a book that touches deeply on my life in a way that very few people know about, and I am excited by that, but also a bit intimidated". Corgan says this new venture may limit his blogging time and music writing time.
