A look at Joe Paterno's legacy STATE COLLEGE —
Joe Paterno's contract was set to expire at the end of the season. He is a legend in happy valley and the world of college football.
889 coaches have been hired in division one football since Paterno was hired in 1966. He has 408 wins throughout his tenure, which is the most victories in division one history. He has two national championships under his belt. He has more bowl appearances than any other coach, more bowl victories than any other coach. Paterno has 5 undefeated seasons.
The American Red Cross is helping people in the Midwest with shelter, food, relief supplies and emotional comfort after tornadoes over the weekend destroyed homes and left thousands without power.
