Celebrate the Irish spirit Texas Style at the Murphy’s St. Patrick’s Day River Parade & Festival! This FREE, two-day event features authentic Irish music, dance, food and fun! Enjoy the festival Saturday and Sunday 12 noon to 6pm each day. Live entertainment on the Arneson River Theatre stage includes Innish Free Irish Dancers, San Antonio Pipes & Drums and local favorite Robert Doyle! On Sunday at 3pm, watch the annual Dyeing O’ the River Green when the San Antonio River is temporarily re-named “The River Shannon” and 110 pounds of environmentally friendly green dye will be released into the water. Immediately following the ceremony, watch a procession of decorated river barges and enjoy the sounds of bag pipes and the sight of Irish jigs performed by float participants! Enjoy the festivities at the Arneson River Theatre, or from your favorite River Walk restaurant patio!
