What is it about sports that compels both writers and
readers? How we can we use our experience in sports
to construct a workable narrative in fiction or creative
non-fiction? This class will examine what works in
sports narratives and how to appreciate and construct
literary works that are rooted in athletics. The class
will include in-class prompts and ideas to get you
started on magazine-length pieces and full-length
books.
