10th Annual Veteran's Day Celebration – Honoring All Who Serve
UIW will celebrate our 10th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 on Dubuis Lawn. The celebration will feature UIW student guest speakers and a formal presentation of the flag-folding ceremony. A display of “living wall” slides will honor UIW community members who have served in the military. We invite you to submit new names by emailing their name, service, and years of service (e.g., “Frank James, USMC, Korean War vet) to Jeff Oliver (in UIW’s Center for Veterans Affairs), email@example.com. Photos are certainly welcome.
NEW THIS YEAR – UIW students will also host “Toys For Tots” during the event – please bring new unwrapped toys that will be distributed to local disadvantage children as Christmas gifts. “Toys For Tots” is a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve sponsored program. For any questions about our Veterans Day Ceremony, please contact Dr. Glenn James, firstname.lastname@example.org.
