His darkly surrealistic, expressionist works portray torturous inner conflicts and emotional struggles. Viewing hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., details a www.centroaztlan.org Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery Construction Alert Starting the week of June 6th the main and service entrances at the cemetery will be closed for 90 – 120 days due to construction. To access the only entrance to the cemetery, visitors need to take Winans Road to Nursery Road and then turn into the cemetery at San Antonio Blvd. The cemetery will be moving building #1 and resurfacing San Antonio Blvd. And, building #2 will be remodeled to have public restrooms and an information center. Shelter #1 will be closed during the construction. The Gravesite Locator Kiosk currently located at the front entrance will be unavailable until construction is complete. Those with computer access can log on to: gravelocator.cem.va.gov or use a smartphone to locate specific gravesite locations. The mobile online app is available at:m.va.gov/gravelocator. To locate a Veteran’s burial site, click on the underlined Cemetery link, select Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, and then type in the Veteran’s name. Public restrooms at the front of the cemetery will be located in the small mobile building next to the warehouse behind the old administration building near Shelter #5. San Antonio Herb Society September Meeting San Antonio Herb Society September Meeting Thursday, September 8th at 6:30 pm. Our speaker will be Shari Anderson. Shari is a clinical herbalist and owner of Omni Star Farms in Boerne. She has been involved in the cultivation, study of, and teaching of herbal healing since 1979. Shari's formal Botanical studies include studies with the American Herbalist Guild, course work with the Rock Mountain Center for Botanical Studies, the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, and Dr. Christopher's school of Natural Healing. She will be speaking on the Herbal Remedies for Pain and Stress and will bring a selection of special preparations to sell; her presentation will provide an amazing wealth of remedies that plants and herbs can offer. Immunization Records No Longer Available at Metro Health Downtown Location Immunizations records will no longer be sold at the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District downtown building located at 332 W. Commerce as of today. The immunizations clinic, located inside the Frank Garrett Community Center at 1226 NW 18th Street, will be the sole location to obtain an immunization record. In order to obtain an immunization record from Metro Health, solicitants must meet ALL the following requirements: Immunization must have occurred in the state of Texas, Immunization records must have been provided to San Antonio Metro Health District through City of San Antonio clinics or City-affiliated health providers, Provide proof of identification with an official form of ID, Parents will need to show proof of relationship (i.e.: birth certificate), and Pay $5 immunization record fee.
